I am a young professional looking to succeed in all avenues of my life. My story begins last summer when I met a guy. He was a contractor that we hired on a regular basis to do jobs at my workplace. From the moment I saw him, I felt an immediate connection to him. It was not actually love at first sight, but something about him made my heart skip a beat. We started talking and getting to know each other, and before long, we began to date.

Our relationship felt so amazing, but I was worried about our age difference. I am seven years older than him, and there were also some other concerns that I had. I thought that he might not want to be with a woman who was thirty years old. Maybe not now, but in the future. I gave this way too much focus, and my own negative thoughts and fears started to take over. Then, just four months later, we broke up. I was so devastated. I loved him so much, and I could just not bear the thought of not being with him anymore.

I was desperate to get him back, and I tried everything I could think of, but nothing seemed to work. That was when I found my copy of The Secret book. I had read it before, but I never really applied its principles and teachings to my life. This time, though, I was determined to do things differently. I started practicing gratitude every day and made a list of all the things I loved about my man. I visualized us being together, and I felt so much better about things.

At first, things did not seem to be going well. We would talk and then get into an argument, or he would do something to make me mad, and we would stop talking again. It was a painful process, but I trusted the Universe’s plan.

I let it go and focused on being the best version of myself. Then, out of the blue, he reached out to me again. We started talking, and eventually, he asked me to be his girlfriend and told me that he loved me. It was everything I had asked the Universe for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am so thankful for The Secret and the power of positive thinking. It has transformed my life in so many ways. I have even used it to achieve other goals, like reaching my weight loss target and getting a difficult coworker to leave me alone.
